Wild Horse Tuning didn't start yesterday. From 2005 to 2017, founder Tim ran Performance Injection Systems (PIS) in Lakeland, Florida — a specialist shop in one of the most demanding corners of the diesel world: HEUI injector work for the 7.3L Power Stroke.
That meant rebuilding and modifying injectors to exacting standards, building proven combinations like the 160/30, 230/100, and 300/200 setups, diagnosing fuel-system problems other shops couldn't crack, and — above all — helping owners choose the right setup for how they actually used their trucks.

Years later, longtime owners on the Power Stroke forums still point to the original PIS — and to Tim personally — as their trusted source for injectors.

That reputation came from a simple rule we still live by: recommend what's right for the customer, not what's most expensive.
When PIS closed in 2017, its injector designs, equipment, and core inventory were acquired by Brian Gray of Gray's Diesel Performance — the shop that went on to campaign the world's quickest 7.3L Power Stroke. We're proud our work was part of that lineage, and we honor Brian and everything he did for the 7.3 community.
